Designed to protect downstream equipment from unwanted particles and solid contaminants, the Y Type Strainer provides continuous mechanical filtration with minimal interruption to the process flow. Its angled chamber houses a removable perforated or mesh screen that captures debris while allowing the fluid to pass through the main pipeline. The compact Y-shaped configuration provides an efficient solution for applications where space and pressure loss need to be carefully considered.
The Y Type Strainer is suitable for oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical processing, power generation, water treatment, steam systems, and general industrial piping. It is commonly installed upstream of pumps, control valves, flow meters, heat exchangers, and other sensitive equipment to reduce the risk of fouling, blockage, and mechanical damage caused by foreign particles.
